Ranking System?

Oh, so I've hit some level of posting and now I'm an NRA Member?
Gimme a break!

Right now I am just over 100 posts and have the rating of NRA Member. I don't know where the line is that moves me up to the next level, "Marine". It is my wish to forgo that rank as I was never a Marine. Only Marines are Marines. I was a Soldier and someone else may have been a Sailor or Airman. NRA Member suits me fine since I am a member of the NRA.

I think that it would be a good idea for us to avoid active military titles in this site's ranking system. Those titles are hard earned in the real world.

If we must borrow from the military for our ranking system, we could always use the military's pay grade ratings. They are generic enough as to not steal from the accomplishments of our Armed Forces.

E1 though E9 for regular members, O1 through O9 for Moderators and Commander in Chief for the site owner.

I think we should petition 'beer for custom ranks.

I'll look into this and see what I can do. Popov made up these ranks but he doesn't come around much anymore so I'll come up with some ranks that make more sense.
