Rules

We need to establish some rules here to make things clear - beyond what is stated at enrollment. So here they are:

1 - First Amendment RIghts supercede most everything here. I am not going to be ban happy. I welcome people who disagree with me. You can insult me, my heritage, my skin color, my taste in women, my taste in food and where I live (mess with my kids, and you're gone.) I've got thick skin. HOWEVER -- that doesn't mean you can do that to anyone or everyone else. Different people have different sensitivities. If I think you've crossed a line I will tell you. If you cross it again, we will have problems. My lines are pretty broad so I don't think that will come up often. HOWEVER (#2) - If you think someone is just being a major asshole to you, let me know. I WILL put an end to it. There will be warnings first, then the ban hammer comes out. I'd like to avoid that if possible, so use your brains.

2 - Trolls: I think people have different opinions of what constitutes a troll. If you think someones a troll, PM me. I'm not going to watch this too closely unless it's obvious. If in doubt, see Rule #1

3 - Language. I've got pretty filthy mouth sometimes and so do some of you. I'm OK with that. But if it's just getting in the way of sending your message, it may not be very useful. I greatly admire creative, colorful language. Don't be shy, just make sure you're still getting your point across. Again, See Rule #1.

4 - Some things are undeniable facts and can not be refuted. They can be argued, but not refuted. Among these undeniable facts:
-islam (note that I do NOT Capitalize it) is not a religion. It is or has become a violent political movement. It is most certainly not a religion of peace.
-George W. Bush was a flawed President -- just like all those that preceded him and will follow him. But blaming him for everything is idiotic.
-Obama can legitimately be called a Socialist, Marxist, etc. He's earned that. I don't like him or his policies. He may even be illegally occupying the office based on the credibility of him not being born in the USA. That remains to be proven. HOWEVER, threats, implied, coy or otherwise against him are wrong and illegal. I know people in the Secret Service. They're genuine Good Guys and they take that shit seriously. So do not even THINK of writing anything like that here. There will be no warnings for that. I will delete it, and your login and you may end up getting a knock on your door from very serious men from the USSS. Rule #1 does NOT apply for this.

don't agree with number 4 though - it contradicts 1 (free speech, opinion etc)
you can think whatever you want about islam and socialism but if you want to maintain free speech on this forum (i sure do) you can't block opinions you don't like on these and other topics

islam is a religion in as much as christianity is a religion - there are people who accept both, one of these or neither and that's their choice. i don't think you should be forcing our forum users to agree with your point of view - as once again this contradicts the whole freedom of speech and open debate thing
