Delays threaten Maine in energy race
Executives at three firms said Wednesday that wording in the bill might prompt them to shift millions of dollars in ongoing spending to other parts of the country.
"If Maine isn't going to be open for business, I think other states are," John Douglas, president and chief executive officer of Riverbank Power Co., told the Portland Press Herald. "That would be a shame for Maine."

BANGOR -- A property owners' group is appealing a Maine Department of Environmental Protection permit issued for a 40-turbine wind farm on Rollins Mountain in Burlington, Lee, Lincoln and Winn.
The Friends of Lincoln Lakes says the agency and developer First Wind failed to fully consider the impact of noise, vibrations and light flicker on people and wildlife.

The maker of a windmill in Kittery will refund the town nearly $200,000 and remove the turbine after a disappointing eight-month demonstration project, the town announced today.
Entegrity has agreed to refund the town of Kittery the entire cost of project -- $191,028. Once the community has been compensated, Entegrity will remove the turbine and the tower, and ship the unit to a location west of the Mississippi.

I will give credit to the town at least they tried

It is long past time for the red states to seceded from the liberal blue states. Let the blues starve on their own.
