Religious philosophy
Last semester when I took philosophy we covered Religious Philosophy. My two favorite philosophers were: St. Anselm and St. Thomas Aquinas. Definately Anselm for my absolute favorite.

Re: Religious philosophy
Except for her suspicion and loathing of organized relgion, I'd have to say Ayn Rand is the philosopher I most identify with. Atlas Shrugged is more than a book of fiction.

Re: Religious philosophy
While I agree with some of the premises of her Atlas Shrugged, the utter distain for religion of any kind came through loud and clear. Galts diatribe (which really should have been cut down by a few hundred pages ) blamed religion as one of the major faults with society. The ridgid hard line against any charity, any giving for those unfortunate had left me feeling that that particular part of her philosophy was wrong. Doing for others ONLY for payment doesn't fit with my own stance.
I did agree with a large portion of her ideas though.

Re: Religious philosophy
I think that this next Fall semester I will take more religious philosophy and a theology course. I found some of the authors I named rather fascinating since it was so long ago they did all their research, yet it hasn't lost it's relevance.
