Alright I guess. I haven't had much time to talk online for the past few days though...

Not bad, keeping myself moderately busy with study and assignments. I asked you to come over here because I like picking your brain on certain issues. For example: what is your view on the Iraq War? Was such an invasion justified? Is the continuing occupation justified? Tell me everything.

Re: I've been summoned?
I think any nation that initiates force against its own citizens, executes political or religious opponents, and advocates heavy censorship.... cannot claim any legitimate right to soveriegnty. They are outlaw nations, and it is the moral right of any free nation to attack. If a regime wishes to have legitimate power, and if a nation wishes the right to sovereignty, then they must recognize the existence of its citizens' individual rights.
However, I also believe that nations shouldn't declare war unless there is a self-defense reason involved. With the case of Iraq, I don't feel I have enough information to make that judgment. I believe if we were to target anyone (outside of Afghanistan), then it probably should have been Iran.

And what do you base that on? What have they done to you?

Re: I've been summoned?
WHen I first heard about the upcoming invasion of Iraq I was sitting on a mountain in Afghanistan. I thought then, and I think know, is was the Bush family's personal war against Saddam. We should never have gone to Iraq.

I agree to an extent. I also think it was about securing oil resources and having greater power in a oil-rich region (mainly that actually). I didn't know you fought in Afghanistan 'Beer....

And Iraq I, and Iraq II . . . a few other places as well.
As for the oil . . . that part doesn't seem to have panned out so well. But with a mental midget like W leading us, it was doomed from the start.
