Deep hole

Two good old boys were planting a deer plot in the woods when they came upon a very deep hole.

"How deep do you think that is?" said Bubba
"Well, I don't know, let's throw that big 'ol railroad tie over there into it and see how long it takes for it to hit bottom." said Billy Bob

So the two dragged the big, 8 foot long railroad tie over and threw it down the hole.

About 4 seconds later a red goat ran past them and dived down the hole.

"Did you see that?!" Bubba asked Billy Bob
"Sure did," he replied

Looking down the hole in wonder, they were started when a local farmer came up and asked them if they'd seen a red goat.

Bubba told the farmer, "We sure did, he ran right past us and dived down that hole!"

The farmer scratched his head and said, "Well, I don't see how he could have done that. I had him roped to a big 'ol railroad tie."
