Representatives for Judicial Watch, which obtained e-mails and other documents showing the requests, say House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has treated the Air Force as her "personal airline."

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has repeatedly requested military aircraft to shuttle her and her colleagues and family around the country, according to a new report from a conservative watchdog group.

Representatives for Judicial Watch, which obtained e-mails and other documents from a Freedom of Information request, said the correspondence shows Pelosi has abused the system in place to accommodate congressional leaders and treated the Air Force as her "personal airline."

Look at it like this. Every time that Ms Pelosi goes wheels up in a government aircraft, some of the cost of her flight comes directly out of your pocket. Her G-5 does not fly for free. Would you rather spring for a congressman to sport about in a G-5 or on Southwest Airline. Remember, it's coming out of your pocket.

Don't get me wrong, I am no fan of government wasting money. But it was President BUSH who started this practice of flying senior House and Senate leaders on military aircraft after 9/11. IF she or anyone else was or is abusing this practice I would support an investigation under the House rules and ethics.

I didn't like it when Dennis Hastert got a government executive jet and I certainly do not like that Nancy Pelosi is now using that same aircraft as her private airline. I didn't like it when Bush 41, Klinton and Bush 43 used a 747 for short hops within the US. I don't like it when Obama does it either. The 767 that Condi flew in many times around the world would be just fine to use as Air Force One for short domestic hops. A 737 would even be good for use within the country. I don't like government waste in any form.
