It seems they are either weaving an elaborate story to play into the movie coming out soon, or they lost sight of their objective...

Its less about the war, and more about some side stories

I think it's still pretty good. But it's starting to become a convoluted mess like LOST, which I no longer watch.

We'll see how the new season is this summer.

It depends on how much you left in your wallet, how much you left with your sergeant and how much you banked. The gate girls usually get everything that you are carrying on the first night and you have to track down "Sarge" in town to get some more of your money. It would be nice to be that young and dumb again for about a week.

my gate girls were in the orient. uniform didn't matter. even civilian contractors were in on the action. the thing about orientals is they were alway negotiable. so you could get laid dirt cheap. even happily married Officers went lookin' for it. hell me and XO had the same gal in Subic !!!!!

My gate girls weren't usually exactly at the gate (unless camped out), but they were possibly local to your neck of "The Wood". Looking back on it, they were rather cheap, but they sure seemed expensive at the time.
